'Akdin Raatre' is the Bengali version of
this film. "Jaagte Raho" received the first prize in the Karlovy
Vary Film Festival in 1957. For Salil it was a great year since Kabuliwaalaa
also gets a special mention
for music at the Berlin Film Festival.
